I’m not a techy, I don’t understand from cpanel, all I want is to host my WordPress blog, one blog. Do you have a discounted package for this?
Yes and no, we offer the package, but without the discount. Allow me to explain: This product addresses the needs of the savvy blogger, who understands the drawbacks in using free blogging services:
- Limitations and Consraints regarding upload space, features, and so forth,
- By using someone elses domain, when you blog you are building up someone else’s domain instead of your own domain.
- Third party links and advertisements.
The first drawback is technical, if it doesn’t bother you then it doesn’t bother you. But the other two are fundamental. Your domain name is your online real estate, and the more that you strengthen the domain’s framework, the more visibility you will have on the search engines. If you are using someone else’s domain name, then you are building His online real estate, not yours. And if you allow outside links and ads there, you are giving away your strength to someone else. Such an advertising service costs money. Put your own ads there! However, not everybody who is “blogging savvy” is “computer savvy”, and wants to be bothered with cpanel and ftp and knowing where everything has to go on the server, and the like.
